A Community of Believers
Our Community
The Perth Tamil Catholic Community was the joint initiative by a few Tamil Catholics living in Perth who wanted to worship in their mother tongue. This number has grown with the community now having more than 100 families on its list and nearly 100 people attending the monthly mass at St Jude’s Church, Langford.
The activities and events for the community is planned and carried out by a few volunteers who give up their own time and use their talent to bring the community together for mass celebrations. The working group liaise with Tamil speaking priests and sisters who live in Perth.
The working group meets monthly after mass celebrations to plan and discuss to debrief recent events and brainstorm ideas for future events. The group has successfully organised various events over the last 10 years and is always looking for volunteers to join the group and provide support and ideas.
